Queen Elizabeth IIs 90-year-old husband is making good progress, but will remain under observation at Papworth, a specialist heart hospital in Cambridge, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said Monday. The spokesman, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with policy, said there are no details on when Philip may be released. Philip underwent a successful coronary stent procedure at the specialist hospital, where he was taken Friday after complaining of chest pains. The Duke of Edinburgh continues to make good progress from the procedure. He remains in hospital under observation and in good spirits, the spokesman said. It was the most serious health scare suffered by Philip, who is known to be active and robust. He has continued to appear at many engagements, most recently taking a 10-day tour of Australia with the queen. He missed the Royal Familys traditional Boxing Day shooting party on Monday at the queens private Sandringham estate in Norfolk, an event he usually leads. Is the American Version of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' Better Than the Swedish Version? (and 24 Other Urgent Questions)

If you or a trusted family member (probably from the Midwest -- I speak from experience) is literate, then, next week, a movie that you most likely already know the ending to is opening called 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.' Always looking for truth in advertising, this reporter can now break the news that, yes, there is a girl in this movie and, yes, she does have a tattoo of a dragon. Will you see 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'? Of course you will see 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,' but you cant just yet because it doesn't come out until December 21st. Until then, we answered every question that you could possibly have about 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.' Q: How did your life change after watching 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'? A: I'll never listen to Enya quite the same way ever again. Q: Is it safe to take my kids to see 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'? A: Unless you've sat down with your kids to have that oh so uncomfortable chat about the birds and the bees and anal rape... no. Q: Speaking of that scene, was it toned down from what we saw in the Swedish version for sensitive American audiences? A: Good lord, no. In fact, I'd say what you will see in the American version is even more disturbing than the Swedish version. If that's possible. Q: Wait, isn't it against the law for you to be writing about 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'? A: No. You're thinking of the kerfuffle that The NYer had with Sony over a studio embargo, which was lifted today. Also: There is no "law," just nonsense on both sides. Q: Did David Fincher change the ending of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'? A: Yes. Q: Did David Fincher change the ending of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' for the better? A: Yes. Q: Is the rest of the plot of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' the same? A: For the most part, yes. Journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) has just lost his life savings in a libel case brought about by a financier who didn't like the gist of the article that was written... Q: And Mikael Blomkvist received jail time, too? A: OK, that's a minor change: Mikael gets no jail time in this version, so that's never a concern. Q: How much jail time will you get for breaking the studio embargo? A: I did not break the studio embargo and, even if I did, there would be no jail time. Q: And Lisbeth is still a scoundrel? A: Lisbeth (Mara) is a scoundrel and she has still been hired to investigate Mikael by a rich tycoon-type named Henrik Vanger (Christopher Plummer). Q: Why is Lisbeth hired by Vanger to investigate Mikael? A: Because that's the plot of the book and the plot of a movie that was already made. Regardless, eventually Mikael is hired by Vanger to investigate the disappearance of his niece, Harriet, which happened in the early 1960s. Mikael needs an assistant, so he hires Lisbeth. Q: Is the American version of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' better than the Swedish version? A: I realize that the Swedish version has fans, but I thought it was a drawn out bore. So, yes, it is -- because the American version is quite great, actually. Q: But wasn't Noomi Rapace good as Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish version? A: Yes, she was. Then again, she was acting opposite Michael Nyqvist who had the personality of my pet turtle in that film. Daniel Craig, on the other hand, is at the top of his game. In fact, this may be Craig's best work to date. (Though, I do like him quite a bit, too, in 'Layer Cake' and 'Casino Royale.') Q: How is Noomi Rapace in 'Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows'? A: Well, let me tell you. I've seen 'Sherlock Holes: Game of Shadows' and Noomi Rapace is [Review Embargoed to Avoid Jail Time]. Q: How is Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander? A: Excellent. Any doubts about her ability to carry a major film should be put to rest. Q: Do you have to have two back-to-back "o"s in your first name to even be considered to play the role of Lisbeth Salander? A: Yes. Q: What Rooney Mara's best scene in 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'? A: Let's just say that whomever Rooney Mara dates in the future might get a tad anxious when she's around anything resembling a metal prod. Q: Is there any chance that your enjoyment of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' will inspire you to read the books? A: No. Q: Without looking, can you name the sequel to 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'? A: 'The Girl Who Kicked a Fire'? Q: You do realize that these book are extremely popular, right? People just love them. Now that you've looked up the correct answer, do you feel guilty? A: Strangely, a little bit. Q: What's the worst part about 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'? A: It's really long. At two hours and forty minutes, admittedly, the length of this movie isn't the best. Three hours of your life could probably be better spent, you know, volunteering for a charity. Q: If you're going to be blurbed in the commercials for 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,' what quote do you think will be used? A: "The best three hours of your life!" Mike Ryan, Moviefone Q: Does 'The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo' feel like almost three hours? A: No. But, as a warning, when you think it's over, you've got quite a bit of time still left. Q: How is James Gandolfini in 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'? A: James Gandolfini is not in 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,' just like he's not in 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close,' no matter what the credits say. Q: Is the tee-shirt that Lisbeth Salander wears in 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' now your favorite movie tee-shirt? A: Yes. "Fuck You You Fucking Fuck" has now replaced the "What are you looking at Dicknose" tee-shirt that Stiles wore in 'Teen Wolf.' You can contact Mike Ryan directly on Twitter.

'Dawn' tops sluggish weekend

'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 1'The weekend's lack of new entries didn't provide the positive effect on Stateside holdovers that some B.O. observers had predicted it would, as the frame's top players "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 1" and "The Muppets" both saw relatively steep weekend-to-weekend three-day declines. Summit's "Breaking Dawn," which won its third straight frame with an estimated $16.9 million, fell 59%, while Disney's second-place pic "The Muppets" dropped 62% in its soph sesh for an estimated weekend gross of $11.2 million. "Breaking Dawn" has cumed through Sunday $247.3 million; "Muppets," $56.1 million. "The Muppets" fell further than expected, especially since family pics traditionally display the strongest legs. But the film faced an unusually crowded family field, compounded with the typical post-Thanksgiving B.O. slowdown. Overall domestic box office was down approximately 7% from last year. Comparatively, B.O. conditions were better -- if only just -- for "Breaking Dawn." In 2009, the second "Twilight" offering, "New Moon," dropped 64% during this exact same weekend. That pic, however, played against the stalwart femme-skewing "The Blind Side -- not to mention three new wide releases. "Breaking Dawn" has the young femme market mostly to itself. Bowing solid in limited release, Fox Searchlight's NC-17-rated "Shame" drew an estimated per-screen average of $36,118 from 10 locations. "An NC-17 film certainly poses certain challenges," said Searchlight exec VP of distribution Sheila DeLoach. "But we're getting good notices from critics, so that should help us through the holiday season." Searchlight also fared fairly well with "The Descendants," expanding the pic to 574 locations (up 141 from last weekend), with an estimated weekend gross of $5.2 million. That's off only 29% from last weekend's three-day holiday take. So far, "Descendants" has tallied $18.1 million domestically. The Weinstein Co. specialty pair, "My Week With Marilyn" and "The Artist," held steady after their solid debuts last weekend. "Marilyn," which maintained a location count of 244, dropped a fine 33% for an estimated $1.2 million three-day gross, while "The Artist" scored a per-screen average of $34,263 from six engagements, two more than last weekend. Both pics saw solid upticks on Saturday vs. last week -- a considerable achievement, given this weekend's overall sluggish B.O. atmosphere. "Marilyn" has cumed $3.9 million; "Artist," nearly $500,000. Contact Andrew Stewart at andrew.stewart@variety.com

Jennifer Aniston Finds Another Act

Creating and starring inside a new comedyShe'll be trying to win by dubious, magical means in next year's Snow Whitened adaptation Mirror Mirror, but Jennifer Aniston is searching to knuckle lower with a serious work with the next project, affixing herself to star in and convey comedy Second Act.At this time, little is famous concerning the movie's plot, beyond the truth that it'll find Roberts like a lady who may never have needed to work a complete day in her own existence all of a sudden becoming faced with the possibilities of going for a job. Topical! It's all regulated just a little embryonic at this time, basically a concept going swimming within the mind from the actress and her creating partners, including ex-agent Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Maven Pictures' Trudie Straightener and Celine Rattray. But production company New Regency is aboard to drum up financing for every time they find a author and director to obtain things moving. All involved will probably be wishing it costs much better than either Ray Crowne, which Roberts made an appearance within this year, and I'm Not Sure How She Will It, that was modified from Allison Pearson's book and required an awful tumble in the box office in September.Mirror Mirror, meanwhile, is going to be out a while the coming year.

'We Bought a Zoo' Clip: Scarlett Johansson Doesn't Get Out Much

.post-content img {display:none;} After a six-year break from feature filmmaking, director Cameron Crowe returns to the multiplex in a big way this December with 'We Bought a Zoo.' The film -- which had a successful sneak preview over Thanksgiving weekend -- stars Matt Damon as a widower who decides the best way to get his young family over the traumatic experience of losing the woman they love is to buy a rundown zoo in the California countryside. Heartwarming and sweet (without being maudlin), 'We Bought a Zoo' is poised to be one of the family films of choice this holiday season. In this exclusive first clip, zookeeper Kelly Foster (Scarlett Johansson) questions Damon's character, Benjamin Mee, about his motives for purchasing the zoo -- a scene which underscores the film's message of adventure with two simple words: Why not? At the tail-end of the clip, you can hear some of the 'We Bought a Zoo' score by Jonsi, the Sigur Ros frontman who Crowe got to produce music for the film. It's a wonderful score and due in stores and online on Dec. 13. 'We Bought a Zoo' arrives in theaters on Dec. 23. [Photo: Fox] Follow Moviefone on Twitter Like Moviefone on Facebook

TNT Drama Pilot Scent Of The Missing Casts Its Canine Stars

Like with women over 50, lead TV series roles for dogs are few and far between. That’s why competition among canine actors was fierce for the starring roles on TNT’s drama pilot Scent Of The Missing. After an extensive auditioning process, golden retriever Jackson landed the lead dog role of Puzzle. Executive produced by co-writers Carol Mendelsohn, Melissa R. Byer & Treena Hancock and Barry Josephson, Scent Of The Missing centers on Susannah (Tricia Helfer), a tenacious, strong-willed K-9 Search and Rescue volunteer who works with an equally determined partner her mischievous golden retriever, Puzzle (Jackson). Saint Bernard/Australian Shepherd mix Bolt and German Shepherd San nabbed the key supporting roles of Shadow and Chaos, the canine partners of K-9 Search and Rescue team members Jake (Eric Winter) and Sedona (Summer Glau), respectively. Is it too late to put in a plug for a supporting role for my German Shepherd dog, Alex (on left in character)? Here is the official “press release” announcing the casting the four-legged stars complete with their representation information: Jackson, a golden retriever, started his acting career as a puppy in Disneys Treasure Buddies. Hes thrilled to be making his small screen debut as Puzzle, a rambunctious, water loving, search and rescue dog. Jackson is especially looking forward to be being partnered with Tricia Helfer. Hot off the set of Disneys Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3, Bolt, a Saint Bernard/Australian Shepherd mix, joins the Scent of the Missing canine cast as Shadow, a rubber ball obsessed, uber energetic search and rescue dog. Being half Saint Bernard, Bolt is anxious to showcase his breeds great affinity for saving human lives. He is excited about being partnered with Eric Winter, who plays Jake, a firefighter, and thinks theyll make a great team. Rounding out the canine cast is Sam, a German Shepherd, who plays Chaos, the newest member of the search and rescue team. Chaos may not be the most experienced, but his fierce drive and heroism make him an invaluable asset to the team. A Hollywood veteran, Sam appeared in Disneys Beverly Hills Chihuahua 1&2 as Delgado. 'Harry Potter' Killing Spree: Hagrid Almost Died, Lupin Almost Resided

When J.K. Rowling first began writing "Harry Potter and also the Deathly Hallows," she'd a really different perception of who'd survive before the finish from the book. She already accepted that they flirted with the thought of killing off Ron Weasley, but apparently he wasn't the only person she almost hit using the killing curse. If Rowling had not had this type of obvious mental picture of Hagrid transporting Harry Potter's body from the Forbidden Forest in the finish of "Deathly Hallows," he likely could have been gone sometime ago. That image stored him safe, she stated throughout her conversation with Daniel Radcliffe around the "Harry Potter and also the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" DVD. Works out that, while she prepared her wand for Ron and Hagrid, there is one "Potter" favorite that Rowling never intended on offing: Remus Lupin. Initially, Lupin was designed to survive through the finish from the book. However when she recognized that war does not discriminate who lives and who dies, she needed an effective character to dramatize that time. There have been couple of more efficient compared to recently-married Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks, who had created a boy prior to the occasions of "Deathly Hallows" started. Probably the most horrifying reasons for war is when it leaves children fatherless and motherless, she stated. I'd no aim of killing [Lupin]. However it dawned on me he needed to die. Do you want Hagrid passed away, or that Lupin had resided? Inform us within the comments section below or on Twitter!

The Rum Diary

The Actor-brad Pitt includes a drink with Aaron Eckhart within the Rum Diary. A FilmDistrict discharge of an Infinitum Nihil, GK Films production. Created by The Actor-brad Pitt, Christi Dembrowski, Anthony Rhulen, Robert Kravis, Graham King, Tim Headington. Executive producers, Patrick McCormick, George Tobia, Bill Shively, A.J. Dix, Greg Shapiro, Colin Vaines. Co-producer, Peter Kohn. Directed, compiled by Bruce Robinson, in line with the novel by Hunter S. Thompson.Kemp - The Actor-brad Pitt Sanderson - Aaron Eckhart Sala - Michael Rispoli Chenault - Amber Heard Lotterman - Richard Jenkins Moburg - Giovanni Ribisi"Practically nothing moderately," states the tagline for "The Rum Diary," and The Actor-brad Pitt lives as much as it through getting sloshed for that better a part of two hrs. Yet temperance of the different sort, a willful abstention from trippy stylistic excess, is the reason why this 1960-set Caribbean picaresque easily probably the most lucid screen adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's work, even when will still be several drafts shy of the fully developed yarn. More powerful on dreamy, seedy atmosphere than you are on narrative coherence, FilmDistrict's exotic curio should draw the overlapping Depp/Thompson fanbases and often will command general auds in, well, moderation. Thompson is at his early 20s when he authored his semi-autobiographical second novel about hard-nosed American newspapermen consuming, messing and from time to time writing among the social upheaval recently-'50s Puerto Rico. The manuscript went unregistered for pretty much 4 decades prior to being finally excavated (with Depp's help) and printed in 1998, providing the public an uncommon dispatch in the author's pre-gonzo years though recognizably Thompson in the first-person account of lust, lucre and liquor, "The Rum Diary" basically suggested in the heavy drug abuse and reckless clouding of fact and fiction that will define his style. By dint of their source material, then, author-director Bruce Robinson's lengthy-aborning screen version never devolves right into a catalog of strongly stupid acidity-trip behavior a la 1998's "Fear and Loathing in Vegas" this might dissatisfy extreme Thompson buffs and often will make "Diary" much more palatable for any wider viewership. The main similarity between your two photos is the fact that both star Depp like a substance-mistreating scribe who can't appear to manage his vices or remain on assignment within an unfamiliar atmosphere. It's 1960 in San Juan, an exotic shark tank where U.S. business interests run rampant, the local people harbor bitter anti-American sentiment and also the 4th estate occupies the cheapest, filthiest rung from the social ladder. Paul Kemp (Depp) just showed up to work on the San Juan Star, run with a cantankerous editor (Richard Jenkins), who takes one take a look at Kemp's bloodshot eyes and alerts him to put from the liquor. Body fat chance, as long as Kemp is moving using the colorful likes of world-weary digital photographer Sala (Michael Rispoli) and wild eccentric Moburg (Giovanni Ribisi), who likes to test out drugs and pay attention to old tracks of Hitler's speeches. Early passages particularly are notable for his or her bracingly sharp, tangy dialogue, a lot of that is written on your own fans of Robinson's all-too-infrequent work ("Withnail and that i,Inch "Jennifer Eight") will recognize and relish the literate sensibility at play here. The scribe-helmer also offers proficiently reshuffled and consolidated figures in the book, getting rid of one major character and handing a prominent role to Sanderson (Aaron Eckhart), a suave, well-heeled American businessman who brings Kemp into his group of friends. Wishing to elicit favorable copy in regards to a shady real-estate deal, Sanderson dangles numerous gifts before Kemp, probably the most enticing being their own g.f., Chenault (Amber Heard, lately of NBC's "The Playboy Club"). An arrestingly foxy vision in whitened bikini and red-colored lipstick, Heard drives a couple of the picture's most indelible sequences: one out of which Kemp and Chenault take Sanderson's Corvettes for any spin, and the other where the girl manages to lose herself among a writhing tangle of physiques on the party area. Lurching from all of these moments of pulse-quickening eroticism to Kemp and Sala's unmanageable misadventures, "The Rum Diary" executes its tonal backflips using the woozy sophistication of the amiable drunkard. Thankfully, there's just one obligatory scene of psychotropic hallucination, as well as in this fairly restrained context, its grotesquerie is nearly exquisite. Conjuring a sweaty, sordid atmosphere through d.p. Dariusz Wolski's Super 16 lensing and employ of mostly sun light, the film in general is better appreciated like a succession of highly made emotions, plenty stimulating within the moment but rarely coalescing into something greater. The novel, though similarly ragged, occured together by Thompson's tough vision of the harsh, lawless Puerto Rico succumbing towards the West's parasitic influence what little of the causes it to be onscreen continues to be soft-pedaled, its fearsome violence reduced to the stage of the hangover. Robinson tries to elevate Kemp's moral stature by molding him into an avatar of stick-it-to-the-Guy justice, a muckraking pen wielded against society's "bastards," based on the film's closing dedication to Thompson. But this goal is frustrated, remarkably, through the casting of Depp, who, though among the project's driving forces, appears strangely unfocused and disengaged inside a role that he's a minimum of two decades too old the thesp gave an infinitely more flavorsome, gonzo-esque turn like a cartoon lizard within this year's "Rango." Supporting stars skillfully get a lot of the slack. Eckhart and Jenkins are perfectly cast Ribisi, inside a amusing live-wire perf, is sort of a drug that may be counted onto deliver a ferocious jolt and Rispoli spends his cynical shutterbug having a rewarding emotional undercurrent. Production designer Craig Seagers is applicable subtle '60s touches to Puerto Rico's sun-kissed outside and grotty inside, an impact furthered by Colleen Atwood's retro costumes. The jazzy, flowing tempos of Christopher Young's score give a constantly sultry backbeat.Camera (Luxurious color, Super 16), Dariusz Wolski editor, Carol Littleton music, Christopher Youthful production designer, Chris Seagers art director, Beginning Swiderski set designers, A. Magnolia Closing In On LFF Opener 360

EXCLUSIVE: Im hearing that Magnolia is set to close a U.S. deal for Fernando Meirelles sexual drama 360, which opened the 55th BFI London Film Festival last night. Artificial Eye is also in talks to release 360 here in the UK on March 3 2012, I understand. Co-produced by Revolution Films, the UK production company behind IFCs The Trip, the Peter Morgan-scripted feature follows a sexual circle of prostitution, infidelity and true love. Anthony Hopkins, Rachel Weisz and Jude Law star. Paris-based sales agent Wild Bunch is selling the BBC Films-backed project internationally. Reviews here this morning have been pretty muted: The Daily Telegraph summed up the film as a glossily unengaging trudge through other peoples love lives describing one moment where a character imagines a plane carrying away his lover as spectacularly stupid. The Times of London gives the film a pretty dismissive 3-star review, calling the plot improbable, and said the merry-go-round structure crushes performances into twenty-minute slots that often fail to elicit our sympathy. The Evening Standard though was much more positive, calling 360 a well-crafted package and a film of beautiful moments, elegant structure and vivid locations. Organisers of the LFF drummed up some star power with Jude Law chatting on the red carpet; Anthony Hopkins and Rachel Weisz though werent on hand. Weisz, who stars in LFF closing film The Deep Blue Sea on October 27, was busy in NY filming while Hopkins, Im told, does not enjoy travelling. Personally, I thought that Hopkins gave an amazing performance as a sober alcoholic although given his long association with Alcoholics Anonymous, you do wonder how much of one scene where he shares at an AA meeting was ad-libbed while Ben Foster was scarily unpredictable as a convicted child rapist.

America online Boss Tim Remedy does some behind-the-moments pitching to major traders of a plan to have Yahoo acquire America online, Reuters reported today. He’s seeking a merger deal isn’t new, nevertheless the particulars are interesting: stating sources, according to him this kind of move would save America online $1 billion-$1.5 billion when redundancies are removed publish-merger, which large entity provides an even more efficient replace on ad agencies. People ads are actually an problem for America online, which reported weak sales throughout its last quarterly earnings, which is stock has experienced consequently — it’s lower about 40% since it was fortunately spun taken off its ill-fated merger after a while Warner. Arrested Development Returning to TV?

AS WELL as the planned movie!Cancelled after a paltry three seasons, Arrested Development is one of those holy-grail TV shows both for its fans and creative team, who are all hanging on to the hope that it will one day be resurrected. The long-mooted movie currently finally seems to be on, but Deadline's sister site TV Line reports this morning that Arrested Development is also heading back to TV, for a "mini-season" filling in the gap between the last episode and the film.Arrested Development, for those sadly not in the know, is the story of a wealthy family who lost everything, and the one son who had no choice but to keep them all together. That one son was Jason Bateman, and the extended family, the Bluths, was made up of Will Arnett, Michael Cera, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor, Portia De Rossi, Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale and Jessica Walter. All were present yesterday at a panel at the NYer festival, along with series creator Mitch Hurwitz, who unveiled the new plan. The idea is that the season would run to ten or so episodes, each one focused on a particular character: a system that would circumvent the scheduling problems inherent in getting the large cast back together.Bateman later weighed in on Twitter that, "It's true. We will do ten episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early 2013. VERY excited!"There's no indication yet of where the series would air, but Deadline report that Showtime and Netflix are likely candidates. Watch this space for further developments!

A Persons Centipede II (Full Sequence): Film Review

NEW You are able to - Because the author/director of among the sickest horror films ever given a mainstream release, Tom Six is incorporated in the unenviable position of needing to top themself using its follow up. He handles to do this -- a minimum of when it comes to violence, gore and the body count -- but whatever medieval originality the very first Human Centipede possessed is altogether missing within this sorry follow-up.our editor recommends'The Human Centipede 2': Exactly what the Experts Are SayingFull Trailer For 'Human Centipede 2' Slithers Online (Video) Similar to Wes Craven eventually did in the Nightmare on Elm Street series, Six went all meta-theatrical here, positing the original was, you realize, only a movie, and what you are seeing now's the actual factor. The dubious primary character is Martin (Laurence R. Harvey), a grossly corpulent, asthmatic Brit who lives together with his dotty mother (Vivien Bridson) and works like a security officer in an subterranean security garage. It works out that Martin's favorite movie may be the Human Centipede, that they watches again and again on the small television. Regardless of the lame efforts of his ineffectual counselor (Bill Hutchens), it's obvious that Martin will go postal. After dispatching his mother by bashing in her own skull and propping her up to have an intimate meal in the dining room table - Norman Bates, eat your heart out - he continues a murderous rampage, dispatching his sufferers in rather unimaginative fashion with guns, knives and blunt objects. His primary goal would be to one-up the mad researcher who produced the infamous titular development of the very first film. To that particular finish, he hogties twelve sufferers within an abandoned warehouse. But missing his inspiration's surgical abilities, he they resort to an extremely low-tech approach -- binding his sufferers mouth to anus -- that's none-the-less disgusting. Inside a wan attempt for brains, among the unfortunates is Ashlynn Yennie, the actress who performed the trunk finish from the human centipede within the first film. Acquired in the airport terminal by Martin underneath the guise of the audition with Quentin Tarantino, she notifies him, in typical actor-speak: "I had been attracted towards the film due to the medical aspect." Additionally to referencing themself with copious clips from his earlier effort, Six provides lots of stomach-churning sequences, for example Martin knocking out someone's teeth 1 by 1 having a hammer and the other that ought to dissuade anybody watching from considering natural giving birth. Unlike the initial, that was in vibrant color, the follow up is shot such dark black-and-whitened that a few of the images are barely noticeable. Alas, many of them are. Opens March. 7 (IFC Night time) Production company: Six Entertainment. Cast: Ashlynn Yennie, Laurence R. Harvey, Vivien Bridson, Bill Hitchens. Director/script: Tom Six. Producers: Ilona Six, Tom Six. Executive producer: Ilona Six. Director of photography: David Meadows. Production designer: Thomas Stefan. Costume designer: Harried Thompson. Ratings: Monday Night Football Wins the Night; Dr. Oz Wins the Day

Cameron Wake and Tom Brady Monday Night Football had a big night in the ratings, just like Tom Brady on the field. The regular season debut of the venerable franchise on ESPN decimated the competition on both cable and broadcast television, attracting 14.57 million viewers for the NFL game between the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins and a 6.3 rating among 18-to-49-year-olds. Brady made the hot South Florida night hotter, passing for 517 yards - merely the fifth-best in league history. And with the promise of more excitement like that, ESPN is sure to lure solid numbers throughout the season. ESPN, NFL extend Monday Night Football pact through 2021 The two-part Bachelor Pad finale, occupying all of ABC's prime time, averaged 7.07 million viewers and a 2.3 demo rating, preliminary Nielsen data showed. While the 2.8 rating among the advertiser-coveted demo marked an increase of 28 percent, the number could be artificially high because MondayNight Football was carried by ABC's Boston affiliate. Also skewing the numbers for Monday night was the 35-minute overrun of the U.S. Open men's tennis championship match on CBS. Bachelor Pad's Harrison: Holly should've told Michael about the engagement A solid runner-up in viewership was the first-run edition of Hell's Kitchen, which cooked for 5.76 million people and garnered a 2.4 demo rating at 9/8c on Fox. The Miss Universe Pageant, however, could only wear a sash that read: "Third Runner-Up." The 60th annual program lured 5.21 million (1.6 demo rating) to NBC. Catch up with the latest news Meantime, as the daytime season got under way Monday, Dr. Oz was in the house more than any other show. His show - with the benefit of taking over most of The Oprah Winfrey Show's time slots across the nation (80-plus) - pulled a 3.8 household rating and enjoyed a 36 percent increase over last year's season premiere. The View was next with 3.5 - up 8 percent from the year-earlier debut. Both shows seemed poised to fill the void left by Winfrey, daytime's queen for a quarter century. The news wasn't so good for Anderson Cooper. The debut of the CNN anchor's Anderson finished next to last, beating only The Wendy Williams Show. His show featuring Amy Winehouse's grieving parents did, however, have to compete with tennis, which started about 4:15 p.m. EDT.

5 Most widely used New Shows Of Fall Television

La, Calif. -- It's time to stay into that couch, prop your foot up and grab the remote the completely new season of television will be here. By last count, there has been greater than 24 brand-new dramas and comedies set to debut over the following day or two, gathered to greater than an entire day and nights cost of television. Overwhelming? Certainly. But at AccessHollywood.com, weve got you covered. We spent the ultimate six days watching every single pilot and weve handled to narrow it lower for the Five Most widely used New Shows of Fall Television. Have a look, listed in order from the premiere date 1. Ringer Mixing drama, a murder mystery, and bushels of Twintrigue (get it? twin + intrigue), The CWs Ringer marks Sarah Michelle Gellars return to television. But Buffy The Vampire Slayer, this is not. You can't top Buffy, you understand Its exactly what it was. It absolutely was an amazing experience That was different, Sarah Michelle told Access Hollywood. I like film noir, I like the unraveling in the mysteries which i havent carried out twins before, therefore i thought, OK, why not? Double trouble Ringer finds Sarah Michelle playing troubled twins, whose lives have diverged on equally destructive paths. Ones a recouping addict abroad from testifying against a mob boss, others a wealthy NYer in the broken marriage, having a couple of large and extremely dangerous secrets. Essentially, the pitch in the show is the audience are let in about the secret in the actual beginning: Bridget and Siobhan, that are identical twins, have swapped lives, Ioan Gruffudd, who plays Siobhans husband, Andrew, told Access. So immediately you are likely to be add an outing of intrigue and backstabbing and high cliff wardrobe wardrobe hangers within the finish of every single episode. In my opinion its likely to be your preferred telenovelas, cleaning cleaning soap operas, joined with Damages, the Welshman added of his show, which opened up on Tuesday evening at 9 PM. 2. Two Broke Ladies And from dark mysteries concerning the Upper East Side with a greasy spoon in Brooklyn, next on our list might be the highly-anticipated new comedy from Sex as well as the City author and producer Michael Patrick King CBS Two Broke Women. Starring Kat Dennings and newcomer Jesse Behrs, Two Broke Women can be a saucy comedy in what happens whenever you mix a blunt-speaking, two-job working waitress getting a disgraced uptown princess. In my opinion the captivating factor about somebody with numerous money and losing each of their money was interesting, Michael Patrick mentioned within the Television Experts Association Summer season Session in August. And somebody whose existence was created to visit a specific way after which it out of the blue went one other way, was interesting. For Jesse, she mentioned the show, which premieres Monday, September 19 at 9:30 PM on CBS, builds up to a lot of laughs. It's also just really silly and funny and laugh-out-noisy kind of comedy, she's mentioned. 3. New Girl FOX is amping up their comedy plate this year with New Girl, starring the adorable Zooey Deschanel, sister of Bones star Emily. Recognized for her silver screen roles in films like Elf and (500) Occasions of Summer season, Zooey brings her charm and penchant for song for the character of Jess, a young lady anxiously searching for new digs Its of a girl named Jess. She'll get left by her boyfriend of several many she type of takes a place to reside so she moves together with three males who live in a loft, Zooey told Access in the show, which premieres on September 20 at 9 PM on FOX. Its just type of an amazing intersection of those peoples personas. The comedy really arrives in the figures. By having an attractive girl getting several shoulders to cry on, it can result in slightly romance too. In my opinion theres certainly slightly Mike and Diane, Zooey added, referencing Moonlighting. Wonderful these males, I appear enjoy it is mainly the mix of numerous character defects, like engaging in one anothers way. Ultimately, they may drive each other crazy, additionally they all love each other concurrently. I certainly think theres several options to date as with that the figures are gonna go. 4. Revenge Modern Family may be charge in to the next program making our Five Most widely used New Shows of Fall Television list, but theres nothing funny about Fundamental steps scintillating new drama Revenge. Emily VanCamp leads the cast from the fall TV entry, loosely good Count of Monte Cristo. The first sort Brothers and sisters & Brothers and sisters star plays Emily Thorne, a young lady of means, who heads for the Hamptons, independently bent on enacting vengeance against people who needed her father from her becoming an adult and forever by framework him for just about any terrible crime. It'll get dark, shes dark, Emily told Access. Basically all she lives for is revenge. She's nothing left to eliminate. In my opinion its more a calculated kind of destruction they desires to happen. Sherrrd like to check out them suffer and be capable of sense might realize that happening, she added of her character Emilys goals inside the show, which premieres Wednesday, September 21 at 10 PM on ABC. 5. Homeland It needed a effective, suspenseful script, but Emmy and Golden Globe champion Claire Danes was wooed to series television for Homeland, the best program to produce our list. In my opinion theres a lot liberty that particular has in cable, Claire mentioned recently within the TCAs of signing on for your drama. You are in a position to curse a good deal. You are capable of getting naked a good deal In my opinion that thats more inviting in comparison to relatively moderate work several hours. Its just the creative flexibility. In Showtimes hour-extended drama, Claire stars as Barbara Mathison, an unconventional CIA agent, worried about the return of Sergeant Nicholas Brody, a marine who was simply trapped in Afghanistan, eight years after he'd been presumed dead. Its British actor and former Gang of Brothers and sisters star Damian Lewis who plays Sergeant Brody, a man fighting to sit in existence home along with his wife Jessica --Versus Morena Baccarin and numerous secrets. Personally, it really can get better and, Damian stated within the TCAs of his new gig on Homeland. In England, we cant get this kind of TV. We don't possess the assets We don't have film and TV language inside our DNA very much the same everybody do here. As well as the large concept in telling it compellingly, entertainingly, in a psychologically real way together with an intricate technique is something we just we dont develop as often as everybody do. To ensure that i'm able to be this can be a thrill. Homeland premieres Sunday, October 2 at 10 PM on Showtime. Copyright 2011 by NBC Universal, Corporation.
